A Meeting With My Other

Visiting my family and significant other in Texas this Thanksgiving break
. It feels like forever since the last time we actually saw each other. InshaAllah, I can not wait. Please keep us in your prayers!

Ali bhai–
yeah, i thought the rocks would be a nice addition to my “grill”..
where do you think of this stuff? haha…
naqvia—
we’re not too demanding now are we… we’ll see what you get.
Sidrah–
texas is awesome
(well i think it is.. others..ehem..some new yorkers i know beg to differ…;).) i’ve been here for almost 16-17 years. there’s a lot of muslims here! esp in the big towns… dallas, houston, san antonio, austin, etc…i also went to college in a reallllly hick, college town for a semester…. (lubbock)..didn’t really have any problems with hijab, etc. i mean there are def the “typical” people who have a problem with you..but very rarely do they say anything racist..you’ll definitely see what they’re thinking on their face
9/11 changed everything… and people are actually pretty tolerant…
and for those wondering– no, we dont live on farms and ride our horses to school….thank you. sigh. haha, kh
salaam.
