What Really Annoys Me

Posted in Personal at 12:29 am by Abbas

Do you know what really annoys me? People whom you are supposed to trust and look up to acting likeĀ  overgrown babies. They whine, complain and cry. They do not respect other people’s personal decisions and they try to make the worse out of it. It is like the “my way or the highway” concept. The sad part is they have no legitimate concerns or reasons. Maybe they have envy? Or maybe they feel threatened? Or maybe they are arrogant? Why can’t they respect and live by the decisions that have been made. We all need to grow up and learn to respect one another … if we do not we will have to learn the hard way, unfortunately. May we all live in peace. Ameen!

Forgive those that whine to you. Now that should be a commandment, or at least a rule to live by somewhere :) Ah, life!

At times we must allow the ability to behave as humans do as well. None of us are perfect, everyone is entitled to their flaw, their momentary lapses. It may frustratre us to see our appointed or developed models acting in a manner we find inapporpriate for the role they’ve come to play; however, it is considerate and open-minded to always give them the benefit of the doubt for they are those we love and respect. If we truly care for them, then we may assist them through that period, hence, taking on the position they once held giving a true mentor/role model the greatest sense of pride and joy. At the end, those that were reasonable will inevitably be appreciative and once again take on their natural role. Those who are not and cannot mature with time, experience, or through the genuine assistance of others can not be helped and should simply be left to themselves, for at that point if one cannot find it in themself to bring him/herself up…then none can.

**This is a long-winded way of saying, cut ppl some slack…if you can help them do it happily and nurture their soul so that it may grow and mature as they have done for yours in the past (for they must have in order for you to at least consider them role models). If you can’t…then leave it to Allah (swt), surely He knows best.

    Irving,

Of course! We must be forgiving (and smart and understanding at the same time).

    Fatima,

I totally agree with you. But I do not think it is their “natural role” unless they are the Prophets (a) or Ahlul Bayt (a) of course. I think its more of a development, like you alluded.
